Our vision of sustainability is reflected at every stage of our product life cycle – from  resource use to emissions and waste – following a life cycle approach. Coordonné’s wallpapers, fabrics, homewares and paints are designed and manufactured with the goal of protecting the environment and reducing our impact on the planet. That’s why we have identified our environmental impacts and established clear objectives and concrete actions that contribute to climate protection, biodiversity preservation and resource conservation.

We are aligned with the 2030 Agenda

The 5 Ps of the Sustainable Development Goals represent five key areas that guide the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnerships. These pillars are essential to ensuring equitable, sustainable  and peaceful development worldwide.

Protect the planet from degradation, through sustainable consumption and production, the responsible management of natural resources and urgent action on climate change, so that it can meet the needs of present and future generations.

Climate change

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and at Coordonné, we are committed to addressing it with concrete and ambitious actions. Our goal is to mitigate the effects of climate change, guided by the following key principles:

Classify and calculate both direct and indirect emissions

including those beyond our direct control, to focus improvement efforts on the areas with the greatest impact within our value chain. We always use official and up-to-date emission factors.

Prevention and reduction of emissions is a top priority.

we have set clear targets to achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2026, aligning with the Paris Agreement (2015).

Annual monitoring of our emissions

with a 15% increase in verified Scope 3 data, which includes transport, suppliers, manufacturing and other services. Coordonné will develop a strategy to expand data collection in these and other currently uncovered categories.

Decarbonisation Plan

Coordonné is committed to reducing its emissions through a decarbonisation roadmap with clear targets for 2026, focused on enhancing sustainability across production, logistics, quality management, and employee-related practices.

Flexibility and digitalisation

We encourage virtual meetings to reduce travel by employees and clients, and we will offer flexible working hours as a more sustainable alternative.

Water consumption savings

We will implement efficient water use by providing employee awareness training and installing water-saving tap aerators at the new corporate headquarters.

Supply chain

We will conduct environmental performance surveys among our suppliers to develop a code of conduct and assess their environmental impact at each stage of our product life cycle.

Efficient use of air conditioning

We are evaluating our air conditioning usage and implementing measures to reduce its environmental impact by limiting usage hours, maintaining efficiency, and using less-polluting refrigerants.

Sustainable business travel

We aim to reduce fossil fuel consumption in business travel by promoting train use over air travel and reviewing the necessity of full team attendance.

Proper waste management

We work with an industrial waste management company to ensure proper recycling, and we will enhance control of paper waste during production to minimise waste generation.

Environmental management system

We will implement the ISO 14001 standard to enable more rigorous monitoring of inputs and outputs, with the goal of improving our environmental management by 2030.

Energy Efficiency

Coordonné has implemented a robust action plan for energy efficiency at its new corporate offices, aimed at reducing consumption and minimising environmental impact. This comprehensive approach focuses on improvements in three key areas: equipment, lighting and climate control.

Energy-efficient equipment

Coordonné has adopted devices certified with the Energy Star label, along with automated energy-saving systems such as timers that regulate power consumption outside of working hours. This ensures efficient energy use and minimises the environmental impact of office equipment.

Natural and LED lighting

The company prioritises natural light and uses compact fluorescent lamps, motion sensors and dimmer controls. Additionally, task lighting systems are employed to adjust electricity consumption based on the specific needs of each area, optimising energy use.

Climate control and thermal insulation

Programmable thermostats and motion sensors have been installed to efficiently manage climate control. Insulation has been improved with solar block windows and double-glazed windows. Coordonné is replacing fluorinated refrigerants with eco-friendly options like propane (R-290) to reduce environmental impact.

Coordonné is building its new offices with an eco-friendly approach, optimising equipment, lighting and climate control. The equipment is energy-efficient and certified. Natural light is maximised with LED lighting and automatic regulation systems. The climate control system includes programmable thermostats and efficient ventilation systems, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact.
