Sarape Fabrics

The Sarape was born from mestizaje, from the fusion of roots, when the Huichol and Yaqui peoples wove together Mexican Tilmas with new European designs brought by the Spanish under their Valencian cloaks.

From a union of traditions emerged this garment. It was used by the men who worked the land to protect themselves from the rain and the cold, and in this way, each community contributed the legacy of its own worldview and craftsmanship.

With this collection, Coordonné wishes to pay tribute to the fabric of cultures and express our admiration and respect for the creativity that has always been so prevalent in Mexico.
