Behind the scenes

In the heart of Damascus, the textile looms worked to select the finest silks and linens, meticulously weaving brocades that would later travel along the Silk Road.

Two thousand years of history and cultural exchange, where, thanks to intrepid textile merchants, tastes and styles intertwined: brocades influenced by China, Persia, Byzantium and Syria, ultimately captivating the aristocracy of Europe.

Vegetal extravagance has endured to the present day in reversible jacquards, satin and matte, becoming a textile icon that reflects the arabesque glamour commonly known as Damask.
